On Doing It Before You’re “Ready”
Recently, I landed an incredible opportunity — I get to monetize a newsletter with an audience of 800,000 people.
Insane, right?
One of the main ways I’m doing that is through sponsorships.
There was just one small problem…
I had never pitched a sponsorship in my life.
No playbook.
No “proven script.”No idea what I was doing.
But instead of overthinking, I opened ChatGPT, loaded it up with everything I knew:
– Newsletter stats
– Audience breakdown
– Reviews and testimonials
– Value prop
And I asked it to help me craft a pitch.
Then I used Deep Research to build a list of 200+ companies I thought would be a great fit.
This morning, I sent my first 20 pitches.
Now I’m in active conversation about selling a $10,000 solo spot.
All this happened in less than 24 hours.
Not because I’m a genius.
Not because I had some unfair advantage. But because I moved before I felt ready.
That’s the game.
Draw up the plan.
Then do the first thing.
Immediately.
The faster you make it real, the faster you learn what works.
Momentum doesn’t come from confidence.
It comes from motion.
So whatever you’re holding back on —
Pitch it.
Build it.
Launch it.
Sell it.
Say it.
Just do it.
